not to steer you away from netbackup, but you could just use scopy (windows
native copy which will preserve security settings) or use a 3rd party
product like robocopy. This has a lot more bells & whistles, and I think
it's free.

How can I restore to a different location on an alternate client? I'm moving
shares from one Win 2K server to another and need to preserve the
permissions. It's being scripted to execute at night to lessen client
inconvenience. But the source server had the data on the root of C:, but on
the new server it has to be on G:.

I see that bprestore has a -R (rename_file) option. Is this what I would
use, but only specify the drive letters (ie. -R /C/ /G/)? If so, I'd
appreciate someone clarifying which is the original and which is the
renamed. The Admin guide has conflicting information.

Thanks,
Lee Anne
