it looks like i'm getting closer on my RMAN restores that have been
causing me problems the last few days. It's still failing, but now
it's mounting the tape and retrieving some data off of it but it
doesn't seem to be getting the right stuff.

Here's the major error lines:
11:13:33 [155835] <16> readTarHeader: ERR - requested filename
</08dtt1eh_1_1> does not match returned filename <VOL1DNU863>
11:13:33 [155835] <16> dbc_open: ERR - handshake() failed

DNU863 is the mediaid of the tape. /08dtt1eh_1_1 shows up in a bplist
and should be file 7 on the tape. Has anybody seen this before/know
what would cause it?

>From what I hear, RMAN is easy -- but it doesn't seem to like restoring
backups that were moved from one netbackup environment to another.

btw -- here's the most of relevant section from the dbclient.log if
somebody can make more sense of it that me.
