Ok I have found information on the Veritas site for ports to use if backing
Netbackup up through a firewall.

I have Netbackup 3.2 and so my only option is to use the
ALLOW_NON_RESERVED_PORTS option in bp.conf.

Anyway, the matter is I am not trying to backup over a firewall, just I want
to tie down my router ports open. Will it be ok to still use this option and
it will use ports 1025 - 5000 even though there is no firewall in the way?

cheers
