The data is being backed up to a SpectraLogic 64K
tape library. There are 8 AIT tape drives.
The data is on Volume Manager controlled disks on
the Hitachi SAN. Networking is via fibre thru a
Brocade switch. The client server has a 1Gig Fast
Ethernet card with its ndd settings at 1000fdx, 1000hdx,
and autoneg_cap all on (1).
All of the machines have this same settings.
All other machines in the environment do not have
this problem of long backups.
Thanks,
Robert Richardson

To what are you backing up the data? Basically, what type of tape
drives, how many, and through what type of connection--i.e. over the
SAN, 1GB/s ethernet, 100MB/s ethernet? It looks like you've got some
sort of major bottleneck--I'd be willing to bet it's not being caused by
NetBackup.
