Quick question
Oh yeah
Info:
Netbackup 3.2ga running on solaris 8 with an L1000 storage unit
Right,
I have a Server_class which backs up just OS stuff really and is set NOT to
cross mount points.
I have say 5 clients on this, and under files I backup
/
/var
which are separate mount points
Now some idiot has decided to add a build a new server and I have to add it
to Netbackup which is no problem, but they have decided to mount /opt
separately too, which is different than all the other clients.
What I want to know is if I add /opt to my file list for this class will it
try and back it up twice. On the new server it will back it up fine as its
mounted separately but when it comes to backup my existing clients it will
backup /opt as part of / but then when it comes to /opt in the list will it
try and backup up /opt again as part of / on the clients where it isn't
mounted separately.
Hope this makes sense
cheers
Dave
