It does work but will require scripting on your part to take advantage of
the different variables passed to the scripts, such as STREAM_NUMBER &
STREAM_COUNT.
Utilizing these variables you can test and determine what do dependent on
the current stream number.
Also, do not allow anything to go to stdout.  This will cause many problems
so the absolute first thing you should do is something like:
exec >> logfile 2>&1

Does the bpstart_notify and bpend_notify work well with Multi streaming ?  I
checked off this option long time before as it try to execute these files
each time a stream starts or ends....  which messes up the whole idea.

Hey!

Try using bpstart_notify and bpend_notify
In the bpstart_notify stop the oracle, then comes the backup
In the bpend_notify start the oracle

Doing it here... except of the big downtime for the oracle.. works very
good.
