Hey!

Backed to previous too... Both incremental and full are bad..
Have 5 filers... all are giving errors... not all streams ... there are
some streams that finish with exit status 0.

Until there isn't any confirmation or a workaround . I'm staying with the
old version.

Sorry, perhaps I spoke out of turn.  The patch was bad for me.  Have you
tested FULL backups yet?  Incrementals worked fine after applying the
patch, but full backups failed with status 20 and 13 errors.  Look for a
bug report to be posted soon....

            only contains two files so you can easily back it out:


                  Stop NetBackup:


                  /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/bp.kill_all


                  Copy the previous files to their original location to
                  undo the patch:


                  cp -p
                  
/usr/openv/patch/NB_DMP_34_3/save/libndmp.so.b4patchNB_DMP_34_3


                  /usr/openv/lib/libndmp.so


                  cp -p
                  
/usr/openv/patch/NB_DMP_34_3/save/libndmp_bpfsmap.so.b4patchNB_DMP_34_3


                  /usr/openv/lib/libndmp_bpfsmap.so


                  Start NetBackup:


                  /etc/rc2.d/S77netbackup start

                  Veritas released some new patches for Netbackup 3.4 on
                  Solaris, namely:

                  NB_34_3            - Solaris server patch
                  NB_DMP_34_3   - NDMP patch
                  (and a few other client patches etc)

                  ..and the ndmp one *might* be duff.

                  since installing the NB_DMP_34_3 patch, the ndmp backups
                  of our netapps filers are failing with status 13, some
                  with 20 and a few with 99. (and when a job fails I also
                  get a core dump).

                  The Veritas engineer I'm in communication thinks the
                  patch is suspect - also there is another customer of
                  theirs with exactly the same problem.
                  You've just confirmed it!
