You just need to designate the tape as a cleaning tape when you add it to
the volume catalog, and use the tpclean command to initiate manual cleaning.

I just realised no one bothered to buy a cleaning tape, so I am going to
purchase one out of my own pocket.

The question is, is there a special method for using the cleaning tape? Does
it have to be inserted into a special slot or a special command needed?
