you can do it with bpsched -IB on the first of the month or 
something. just put it in cron and have the schedule defined
on the server. You don't even need to define the backup windows
as -IB tells it to ignore backup windows and do an immediate 
backup.

of course there are probably better ways to handle it, but 
this works for me.
