Netbackup, in non-multiplexed mode, uses a modified GNU-tar as a file
format. There's some additional header information in front of the actual
tar file. That's as close as NB gets to tar.

It doesn't do cpio.

Hi,
How can i do tar or cpio backup using netbackup. is there any
environmental viriable i need to set to do that. is there any docs
available regarding this. what are the different backup types
Netbackup supports. can netbackup perform "tar" or "cpio" backup.
any quick pointers in this direction are highly appreciated.

Thanks
Vikas
