Right from the NBU Product Mgr.

use the -f <listfile> and in your file list list all of your top level mount
points, place a ! in front of those that you do not want to restore.

/
!/a
!/b
!/c

Haven't tested it, but if NBU logic holds true, then so should this.

David

PS. this is a 4.5 option that is document, not certain if this is a 3.4
undocumented feature.

Hi all,

I'm trying to automate our disaster recovery procedures, and I've gotten as
far as replicating the root system disk after booting off the Jumpstart
server, and now I'm ready restore from Netbackup server. However, I only
want to restore UFS systems(as I don't have VXFS available to me under
mini-root. So, the script goes ahead and mounts all UFS file systems under
/a, but how do I specify in the bprestore command that when I give it / as a
file name among other file systems, I don't want it to restore all other
file systems? In the GUI there is a check button that says do not cross
file systems during the restore, but I cannot seem to find an equivalent of
that option with the bprestore command. Any ideas? Thanks a lot in
advance.

Regards,
-Michael
