I tell this to anyone who wants to learn more about how the product works...
set aside some time and read the NetBackup Functional Description and Media
Manager Functional Description appendices in the Troubleshooting Guide (this
is a manual you should have and is also on the CD in PDF format).

If you take the time to actually read it and learn it, I guarantee you will be
glad you did this...

can someone give the definitive answer to the
difference between a media db and a catalog db and how
they interact. Thanks
