Thanks to all who replied. NetBackup does indeed overwrite Arcserve's MTF
format on the fly...

Yes, ARCServe uses MTF format.

I can't remember if Arcserve has the MTF1 format on there or not, but you may
want to test it out. If it doesn't freeze the tape you are good to go, if it
does you'll have to bplabel those tapes.
