Its been a while, but I'm certain I've done this before.

You should be able to follow the same steps and just import the one expired
backup image.

If the gui doesn't seem to be agreeable, try it from the command line.

David

PS. When I'm in the office again tomorrow, I'll see if I can try an import
myself.

not quite I wanted.
in order to perform the first phase the volume needs to be "out" of my
database, therefore I have to expire all the other backups on the volume (or
the entire volume).
But I still have valuable backups on it and I don't want to expire
everything and import back everything just for one little, small backup. The
full process can take hours. My case, 6-8 hours.

yes. Once you perform the first phase (or step one) you can then select
which images to fully import.

Is it posible to partial import some backups on a media with media still
containing valid data?

Let's say you have a volume with 2 backups on it: backupid server1_xxxx and
server2_yyyy.
server1_yyyy expired on 04/08/2002 (so it's just expired)
server2_xxxx expires on 04/10/2002

Today is 04/09/2002 and you decided that you need server1_yyyy, the one just
expired yesterday.
Is there any way to recover it (the backup is still there, nobody write on
top of it, you just need to put it back in the database)?

I know you can expire the volume and import it back, but that's time
consumming, specialy if the media is full and you just need to recover a
small backup.

thanks
Cosmin
