mike,

in the NBU 3.4 PC Clients Installation Guide there are some .nlm
dependencies and things that need to happen to the Novell server before
NetBackup is loaded. These dependencies typically revolve around the latest
Novell patch release, smdr.nlm, tsados.nlm, other tsaxxx.nlm's (depending on
Novell version) and tsands.nlm being loaded (and must be unloaded and
reloaded prior to installation) and various other Novell components that
need to exist. PMTHREAD is, if I remember correctly, a Novell package that
should have been installed initially with the Novell build, so it may just
be one of the .nlm's mentioned in the manual that need to be loaded. it may
be part of the SPX/IPX service (but in all honesty I don't remember for sure
which package it is from)...

my advice is to follow the steps in the NBU 3.4 PC Clients Installation
Guide manual to the letter. I have always had successful installs if I don't
skip any of the steps in there. it is a fairly clear manual and walks you
thru it step by step. if you have already done the step by step from the
manual, and no one on the base has additional info, you may want to open a
support call.

regards,

I am attempting to use a Sun Solaris master server and setup a Novell
Netware client. I am having trouble loading bpcd. It is giving me an error
stating that I need PMTHREAD loaded first. Where is this and how can I get
it? Any help in setting up this configuration would be very appreciated.
Thank you
mike
