I would add to this: check to see if your library has
"virtual libraries" configured and exported. We ran
into an issue like this with a Spectralogic Gator.
All slots and drives were visible to the system,
but not all drives had associated SCSI ids (hint #1)
and moves failed.
Somehow there had been a virtual library configured
and resources moved to it. We fixed it by re-assigning
the resources (tape drives and slots) to the proper
library.
Just something else to consider.
