I found that creating sym links from rsh and rcp to ssh and scp respectively
works well just make sure to trade keys for root between machines (you
only need one way from the NBU server to the clients)

I've been wondering about this problem, and it just occurred to me that I
have the best folks at my disposal.

Occasionally Veritas issues updates to client software, which is usually
updated by the NBU software itself via install_client_files this works
over rcp and I believe FTP? Most of our servers have neither of those
protocols running for security reasons, so I followed Veritas'
instructions and installed the software directly to the servers from
CD-ROM. This doesn't seem like the most efficient way to update the
software.

How are other folks doing this? Is everyone enabling ftp or rcp? Has
anyone hacked install_client_files and install_client for SSH support?

Thanks in advance!
