RE: [Veritas-bu] NBU Datacenter Lic Key for Media ServerHit send too soon...
I just installed a Media Server yesterday (solaris) and it asked for a
license key. I knew NT/W2K asked for one anytime you installed anything,
but I didn't remember that Unix did that until yesterday.

To the best of my knowledge, you only enter license keys on the Master
server. Veritas should either issue you a license certificate for each of
your Master and Media servers, or they should issue you a certificate with a
"quantity" greater than "0". Either way, you would enter all the licenses
on the Master.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NBU Datacenter Lic Key for Media Server
I have been putting off NBU 3.2 to 3.4 upgrade because of difficulty in
getting the proper license keys from Sun for all my clients and DB
extensions. Now that I have those I have a question about whether I can
use the same 3.4 Datacenter license key for both Master and Media
servers. Or do I need to have a separate key for each? Sun has been no
help on this so maybe someone on this mail list has already been through
this.
TIA
Jim Laurie
