I'd be very interested to see how they can recover an image at was on a disk
storage unit.  Unless it involves using VxFS and its snapshotting
capabilities.  Do you have any more info on that one?

Something you may want to consider is dup'ing the images that you backup to
you disk storage unit to tape for recovery purposes.

                I encountered this issue last year when wanting to import
disk images due having lost the image database.  I opened a ticket with
Veritas support and they informed me that there is no way to import images
that are backed up to a disk storage unit.
