I have a couple of problems related to Netbackup performance. We are running
Netbackup Datacenter 3.4.1 on Win2K servers. In order to increase
performance tuning I increased the number of buffers and the size of them.
This worked great for most servers being backed up with the exception of 1
client. This client has hundreds of thousands of small 1K files. The backup
is taking about 8 to 10 hours to backup about 10GB of data.

I don't really need to back these up as they get backed up in separate
backup for DR purposes. I added the directory of these files into the
exclude list for this backup class but Netbackup is still backing them up.
Is there any reason why Netbackup wouldn't recognize my exclude list.

Secondly, the waiting for full buffers on this server is extremely high. I
remember reading in here that to tune Netbackup to backup alot of small
files you should decrease the size of the buffers. Is there a way to do this
for this client only while still leaving the other clients to use the
increased buffer size or can you only set this on the master.

Any help would be appreciated.
