That would depend on the specifications of the tape media in question. The
tapes you use should have a documented maximum mount and/or read/write
passes. Use these as a starting point. You may decide that you want to swap
them more often than the specifications suggest.

I have 2 tapes allocated to backup the catalog, and want to know how often
should these tapes be changed ?
