Reports from people upgrading from 3.1.1 to 3.4 initially indicated there were 
some problems with the upgrade. These problems were apparently resolved by 
upgrading to 3.2 first. I upgraded to 3.2 first then to 3.4, purely on the 
advice of others, but in the process of researching the issue I did find that 
VERITAS officially supports the 3.1.1 ¯> 3.4 upgrade.

We skipped 3.2 and went directly to 3.4 from 3.1.1 and had great results.
