Try doing:
vmquery -deassignbyid <media id> <pool_number> <status>
I think Dave Chapa posted a quick way to find the pool number and status fields
recently. I've done it before, but I don' recall how....

We have had a couple of media go bad. I have removed them from the silo, now
want to remove their entry in NetBackup, but I get the following problem
root@veritasmaster1:/usr/openv/local/bin# vmdelete -m 010248
cannot delete assigned volume (92)
root@veritasmaster1:/usr/openv/local/bin# bpexpdate -ev 010248 -d 0
Are you SURE you want to delete 010248 y/n (n)? y
requested media id was not found in NB media database and/or MM volume
database
How can I remove this media if it's assigned, but I can't unassign it?
