bpmedialist will give you the expiration date of the volume in NetBackup
(which as you mentioned is the same as the latest image expiration, unless
your allowing multiple retention levels on the same tape and then it's the
same as the image on that tape with the furthest expiration).
This is not to be confused with Media Manager's expiration of a volume (which
is found using vmquery).

My understanding is that a medium is available for re-use
once all images on it have expired. Thus to calculate a
re-use date one only needs to know the expiry date of the
latest image on the medium. This information can be
gleaned from the output of bpimmedia -l.
Is this process correct?
