If you have OTM problems, it will give you the indication on the master
server error logs. At that point, I would create the log directory and
begin monitoring to troubleshoot the problem. It is my practice not to
employ those logs unless I have a pending issue, otherwise you are eating up
valuable time on the client to write to these logs.

Yes. It's /netbackup/logs/all and it's set to "3". The reason I'm running
the logs is that OTM is turned on and I want to be able to see it OTM has
trouble or not and what the error is.

Thanks,

CJ

Which logs?

%NBHOME%/netbackup/logs?

Unless you are troubleshooting a problem, I would not continue to collect
logging information in these debug logs. This will have an impact on your
client performance especially if one of the logging dirs is bpbkar, this
will collect every file that is being back'ed up.

Does anybody have a suggestion on pruning the NetBackup logs on a NT 4.0
client. I have the logging set to "3". The problem is that the logs are
18mb/day with each day having it's own log file name.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks,

CJ
