[Veritas-bu] Drive keeps going down

Well, if the drive is down and there is still a tape in the drive, I would
start with a bpmedialist -ev MEDIAID from the master server to see who
"owns" that tape.  That will tell you what server is mounting it.

If you are looking for which tape was in use when the drive went down and it
is no longer mounted, a combination of /var/adm/messages (or the event log
on NT) and some bperror reports will give you that information.

Its kind of hit or miss, but you can definitely find out the info you are
looking for.

I'm interested in this information as well. Since a power outage on Friday,
on, or more, of our drives keep getting taken down. I'd like to find out
which server is the culprit, but can't seem to locate anything definitive in
the logs.

I seem to be having a problem with a drive that keeps going down. I have
searched through NetBackup logs and the syslog logs to try and find the
cause of this, but can't seem to locate anything useful. Where does
NetBackup log events that take drives DOWN, and is there a specific format I
should look for? I know I have found it in the past, but for the life of me
I can't seem to relocate it now.
