Suspend the tapes instead of freezing them.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Write Protecting Tapes used for Restores.
All,
I've had a problem in the past that when I have had tapes put back into the
tape library to do a restore from a full backup from several weeks ago, that
they get used for a new backup because of the pool name. Is there an easy
way to prevent this from happening? I know I could freeze the tape, but if
I forget to unfreeze it, it won't recycle. I've heard it's not a good idea
to write protect the tapes in the library, anyone else have any comments on
this. Being an admin of many hats, I have not had the time to sit down and
go through the books in detail to try and figure out a solution. So I
thought I would try and tap the collective knowledge of the group. Thanks
in advance for any help or suggestions.
