This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

The instructions for setting it up are in the
...\netbackup\bin\nbmail.cmd file.
I have also noticed that if I reopen the configure window after setting
the email address and exit with 'ok' for any reason, the 'email address
for netbackup administrator' box is cleared. Anyone else see this?

Are you using a Windows NT or 2000 server? If so, you will need
to download an smtp utility, Veritas recommends blat, as this is not
native to Windows. Try checking
http://gepasi.dbs.aber.ac.uk/softw/Blat.html to get the latest updates
(this is the only link I have for it).

If you dig deep enough into the mailing scripts/files on
NetBackup it use to tell you what to do, if I recall correctly.

i have set veritas nbu 3.4.1 to notify me via e-mail, but it doesn't
seem to work. i set the email addy in the configuration screen for the
master server under global configuration and under universal options. i
also checked the box 'server sends mail'. has anyone seen this before?
did i do it wrong?
