Ok, this is a re-visit of my previous post regarding /usr/openv.

What about having the db backup go to an nfs mount (ie. filer) instead
of tape?  This way you still keep everything on local disk (Veritas
requirement, thanks Bob), you don't need to span tapes, and you can use
the DR procedure I mentioned before.

For those who are just joining us, the DR procedure was using SnapMirror
(NetApp) to keep copies of the catalogue at remote sites.  This way you
can DR to a remote site very quickly, either by shipping the original
tapes to the site or snapmirroring the catalogue back to the main site. 
This of course assumes decent size WAN pipe.

Anyone got issues with this setup?
