Hi all.
I have 2 networks in 2 locations linked by dark fibre.
The master server and the majority of the servers being backed up are at
location A and reside on a private network 192.168.32.0/24
The servers at location B are on a public network and in order to get to
network A, the packets are routed to a linux box that sits on the public &
private network, NAT'ing the public IP's to a single IP onto the
192.168.32.0 network.
I can initiate backups and restores from the master server on network A to
a client on network B, but when I try to do a manual backup from network B
to the master server on network A, it always fails.
It seems that the master server is trying to establish a new connection to
the IP address that requested the manual backup or restore, and in doing
so, it always tries to establish a new connection with the linux NAT box.
Is there any way around this so that the client opens a connection to the
master server, and the master server uses that connection for the backup
or restore, instead of trying to initiate a new connection ?
