Subject: RE: [Veritas-bu] socket error with bpduplicate
I have similar problem. when I am trying to duplicate the small images =
through NT Media server, it finishes successfully. But if it's big =
images, it will finish duplicating the tapes, but it will get the socket =
read failed.
17:59:07 INF - Begin writing True Image Recovery information for copy =
2.
18:42:44 INF - socket read failed: errno =3D 238 - Connection timed =
out
18:42:48 INF - socket read failed: errno =3D 238 - Connection timed =
out
I am very interested in knowing how to fix this problem.
Thanks

Has anyone ever encountered the following while trying to run the
bpduplicate command?
This is what I am running:
bpduplicate -s 9/8/2001 -e 9/9/2001 -class Unix_FS -sl Full -id 312 -L
/tmp/dupstatus.rpt
This is the error I receive
INF - failure logging message to client bakup189 in log =
/tmp/dupstatus.rpt:
socket write failed (24)
The client it refers to is the master server. It is very strange. =
This is a
solaris machine.
any thoughts?
David
