Is there a utility or method to verify tape media and the backup images
on
the media? Besides for monitoring backup job statuses and trying to
restore
files from a backup image.  I think the concern is two fold in that
someone
has a concern about the validity of their media and the backups stored
on
them.  I would assume that Netbackup would freeze the media if it
considered
the media bad.  I would also assume that if the status of the backup job
came out zero that you would know you had a good backup.  But some
paranoid
people would like additional assurance that their backups are valid.
