it could be wrong topology

For HP and AL we had to setup NT. 
3) I would check on HBA driver. If there is newer version is available
4) Firmware on the bridges could be old.     

It looks like you got all hardware from HP, so you should be able to get 
answer what exactly was tested and recommended by HP, drivers, patches.
