I've seen restores fail that look exactly like this. In my experience this
is caused from a permission issue. Usually it's an alternate path restore to
another client other than the client the data was backed up from. Double
check your bp.conf entries and make sure all of your master and media
servers are in the client's bp.conf and vis-a-vis. When this happened to me
the media server trying to do the restore wasn't in the client's bp.conf.

This is how it has looked for 2 hours now and the L3500 tape library
shows no activity.

Backups have been running just fine.
