No...just found out yesterday that Veritas does not support SDLT yet. They
expect full support by the end of August.

Just wanted to pass this by and to see if anyone has experienced a similar
issue...

We just installed an ATL P3000 with 4 SDLTs. We are running Datacenter
3.4.1 on
W2K with 1 master and 1 media server connecting via Fibre channel.

We have had over 100 tapes frozen and the BPTM log shows:

02:07:19 [2440.3156] <16> io_ioctl: ioctl (MTWEOF) failed on media id
IN2123,
drive index 3, The request could not be performed because of an I/O device
error. (../bptm.c.14135)
02:07:19 [2440.3156] <2> log_media_error: successfully wrote to error file -
07/11/01 02:07:19 IN2123 3 WRITE_ERROR
02:07:19 [2440.3156] <16> write_backup: FROZE media id IN2123, could not
write
tape mark to begin new image
02:07:19 [2440.3156] <2> io_close: closing
E:\VERITAS\NetBackup\db\media\tpreq/IN2123, from ../bptm.c.10780
02:07:19 [2440.3156] <2> tpunmount: tpunmount'ing
E:\VERITAS\NetBackup\db\media\tpreq/IN2123

I am having ATL out to run diagnostics on the drives and the fibre channel,
but
is there anything else I could be missing?

Thanks,
Scott Caddell
