[Veritas-bu] EXIT STATUS 40

Greetings, 

Intermittently while in the middle of backup, the backup job terminates with
the following errors in the log:

06/18/01 12:45:22 AM: [511]: ERR - bpbkar exiting because backup is aborting
06/18/01 12:45:22 AM: [511]: INF - EXIT STATUS 40: network connection broken


I am backing up the Exchange database (of Exchange 5.5) on the local drive
and not across the network. Could someone let me know the reason why this
happens? 

Would appreciate any help on this,
