[Veritas-bu] Restore Optimisation

That is fairly normal throughput for backups and restores. I assume from
those numbers you are running at 100 mbit FD. The limiting part of restores
is usually one of 2 things. The speed of the receiving system's disk and the
network.
Try setting your cache on the client's controller to 75% write, 25% read if
you can and see what happens. Most caching controllers default to 50/50.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Restore Optimisation
Does anyone have any experience of optimising restore times on Netbackup?
Our Exchange server backs up around 90Gb in about 5 hours but when we
restore the Information Store
it takes just over 12 hours.
We are running NB 3.2 on Solaris 2.6 with a L11000 library and DLT7000
drives.
Thanks,
