I have been asked by our Oracle Support to post these questions concerning
the use of BLIB:

*       are users satisfied with it, and with Veritas' support for it?
*       has it shortened Oracle backup windows? how much?
*       how large are the databases it is used for? how active?
*       is anyone using BLIB without RMAN?
*       is anyone using BLIB without Volume Manager?
*       how difficult is it to estimate the amount of file system space
needed to hold the storage checkpoints required for BLIB?
*       has anyone tried client-directed backups with BLIB?

I will summarize the answers if there are any.  Thanks.
