We run are running 3.4 with patch J0850482. Our Master server is HP-UX 11.0.
Our media servers are a mixture of HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 10.20, NT 4.0, and
Win2K. We haven't had much problems with 84 errors recently, but had in the
past when on 3.2. Let the group know if this is a problem with that patch.
We were planning on going to it soon.

Well, we did create the sctl driver for the robot. It did not help with
the problem.

We also have done some additional testing on some separate systems. We
haven't reproduced the HP/UX 11.0 problem. But, we set up a Win2K server
running 3.4. After the J085645 patch it started downing drives (on a
different library and different drives.) We backed out the patch, it stopped
downing drives. I have opened a ticket with Veritas on the problem. I may
fall back to 3.4 with J0850482 on our production UX system and with some
luck maybe that will cure our problem.

    Bryan
