Greetings,

After I put new tapes in my library, I am seeing the following types of
errors for some of my tapes:

  block read is not recognizable - length is greater than 32K bytes, media
id 14, drive index 2
  non NetBackup media found in drive index 2, FREEZING 000014

-or-

  block read is not a NetBackup media header, len=512, media id=000018,
drive index 0, data is ANSI-format
  non NetBackup media found in drive index 0, FREEZING 000018

These are new tapes right out of the box!  Do I need to format them or
something?
