I'm having trouble kicking off a Perl script from the
bpend/bpstart_notify.bat script. The code works, and I can kick it off
by hand in a cmd window on the NT client, and according to the bpbrm
logs, it is finding and kicking off the batch scripts. However, its not
executing the perl script like it does when I execute it. Here's the
contents of bpstart_notify.bat:

cmd /c "perl start.pl >>c:\start.err >c:\start.out"

Note: the logging I specify here just writes out nothing. When I run the
batch script by hand it logs.

Here's where bpstart_notify comes up in the Master's bpbrm log:

15:16:08 [16897] <4> bpbrm read_backup_start: from client ntags: INF -
START C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\bpstart_notify.BAT
15:16:08 [16897] <4> bpbrm read_backup_start: from client ntags: INF -
END C:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\bpstart_notify.BAT

Note: I've already tried putting the full path for the perl and the
script to no avail, and perl is already in the path listed in Start -->
Control Panels --> System --> Environment

Ugh.
