Are you using the raid manager 6.22?
There is a problem reported to Sun on March 14th, 2001

"bug ID 4376070   Sg driver creates bogus links when RM6 is installed and
configured"

We encountered it as well and the only solution so far is to pull out the
RM6 software and edit /etc/system to comment out the lines associated with
it.

This might not work on its own either.

If boot -r doesn't work on its own, try cleaning out /dev/rmt first. Then 
use boot -r.
