I'm looking for some warm and fuzzies for an upgrade consisting of Oracle,
HPUX, and NBU 3.2. We've had issues in the past (much debugging by Veritas)
which is making this upgrade rather tense. Of particular note, multiple
NIC's caused significant headaches during deployment previously (servers
with more than two NIC's).
Current environment -- NBU Master 3.2P226, Solaris 2.6, NBU Client 3.2P226,
HPUX 10.20 and 11.00, running Oracle EBU on 7.3.2, 7.3.3, 7.3.4 and Oracle
RMAN on 8.0.4, 8.0.5 with NetBackup Oracle Extensions.
First Interim environment -- NBU Master 3.2P466, Solaris 2.6, NBU Client
3.2P466, HPUX 10.20 and 11.00, running Oracle versions as above.
Second Future environment -- NBU Master 3.4P482, Solaris 2.6, NBU Client
3.2P466, HPUX/Oracle as above
Final -- NBU Master 3.4P482, Solaris 2.6, NBU Client 3.4P482, HPUX/Oracle as
above.
Is anyone running an environment similar to one of the steps above? Anyone
gone through the transition in a production environment and can offer any
insight? Any issues we need to be aware of?
