when i close the door on my tape library, it takes about 4 mins to inventory
the 8 drives and 200 slots, and all tape information is then accessible via
the tape library lcd panel or network web app.  when i then have netbackup
update the media inventory via "use inventory to update volume
configuration" and then "update volume configuration", it takes another 16
mins for the tape library to re-inventory each tape slot and drive.  (the
tape library fast slot scan order is 1, 26, 51, 76, 101, 126, 151, 176, 2,
27, 52, 77, 102, ..., 175, 200.  netbackup wants the library slot scan order
to be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ..., 199, 200.)

is there a netbackup or volmgr setting to allow the update to come from the
tape library memory, and not force it to do another physical scan of
everything?
