Thanks for the reply.  Do you have any documentation on changing
the transfer rates via the scsi controller bios on a Sun box?
I'll also follow up with Veritas/Sun/ATL (whoever will help!).
If I get anywhere I'll post to the list.

I saw your message via the veritas mail group. We are still mostly using BE
but we did have a similar problem. After talking to the Veritas folks they
suggested going into the scsi controller bios and set all the transfer rates
to the drives as low as possible. I did this and the errors went away and
did not effect backup times by any noticable amount. I suspect I should be
repling via the mail group but haven't been online long enough to get it
sorted out.
