Zsolt,

Here is the scoop on where you are looking for I believe.
A media will get suspended/frozen if it has 3 failures in 12 hours
at which point it will no longer attempt to get selected for futher
backups until you take some action to replace the tape or unfreeze it.
This is the default behavior.  You can modify this behavior as follows.
In /usr/openv/netbackup you can create these 3 files
DRIVE_ERROR_THRESHOLD
MEDIA_ERROR_THRESHOLD
TIME_WINDOW
In each file you would be the number of failures that are acceptable
before NB will freeze the media or down a drive with the TIME_WINDOW
of hours.  So in the above list of files if they contain the values
4, 0, 3 respectively then a drive will be down'ed if NB determines
the a specific drive device (/dev/rmt/...) received more than 4 errors
withing 3 hours.  OR  It will freeze a media up the first error for
that media within 3 hours.
