I've never had that problem with 3.2 and later, but did
see this type of behaviour in previous versions.
when this happens, try executing this command
$NBUHOME/bin/admincmd/bpschedreq -read_stunits
Like I said this shouldn't hanging and if it persists
you should open a call with Veritas, as it may be a
symptom of something bigger.
Incidentally, are you using AIT by chance.
