I am trialling backups of a Netware box (Netfinity 5500, raid-5, with
100Mb/full duplex) running Netware 4.11 service pack 6A (whatever that
means), and am achieving only about 1.7MB/sec.  I know the Solaris
server/tape combination can manage 4X 8MB/sec by using multiple interfaces
and  DLT7000 drives.

I personally suspect the disk IO on the Netware box, but the PC type people
are suggesting the NLMs may be the cause of the performance problem.

We will potentially need to backup ~140GB nightly once the system is
implemented, and I was wondering if anyone could let me know their backup
rates, or horror stories.
