I've suffered from many problems with Flashbackup including random and
consistent error 12's (With e4000 clusters) They were fixed by the latest
jumbo patches. (I think the one that fixed that particular problem for me
was J0820326 but the latest should be ok too) 

My suggestion is to make sure you're up to the latest patches

All,

I have a couple flash backup installs to do this week and have only done
this
(not quite succesfully) in a test environment.  I would feel a bit more
comfortable
if I knew what I did wrong.  Let me know if you have any ideas.
