We have used IDR here and even our most pessimistic NT
admin is impressed.
There is an odd occurrence when restoring the networking,
we cannot go straight through the install, we have to
step backwards at the Network portion, remove the additional
network driver that somehow gets configured in addition to the
proper one, and then we can continue fine.

We are 100% (15 out of 15 ) on test attempts, including
a Backup Domain Controller that had the entire Compaq
Disk Array wiped clean! I like it.

Hi George,

The documentation for IDR is contained within the patch J0820202 available
from the VERITAS ftp servers. configuration is a matter of installing the
feature patch on the clients / servers, and then enabling the collection of
IDR info within the class ( this can only be done using the bpadm utility or
by using the NT backup policy manager ). It is supported with all Netbackup
3.2 server variants.

Is there any information available about IDR?

How is is installed/configured?

Can it be used with a Unix server?
